WHERE DID IT ALL START?

I’m Jason and I like to travel - not much of a surprise. I’d say that I’ve always had a profound interest in learning more about the world. I suppose this passion has naturally manifested itself into the travel films I’ve created over eight years. Most likely though, you’re reading this because you want to know a little more about me and my beginnings. So, some background.

Born in Beverley, Yorkshire, but brewed in Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. I went on to study Tourism Management at Plymouth University, graduating with a First Class Honours degree in 2017. During my degree, I spent a year working in China in the private executive lounge of Fairmont Yangcheng Lake, a five star hotel near Shanghai. Living in China for an entire year was an immensely eye opening, life changing experience. Exposure to a vastly different culture ignited my dormant appetite for travel. It also changed my thinking somewhat, and by the end of my year I was conversing with guests and strangers in Mandarin, a new world opened up to me.

I took the few hundred dollar savings I’d made from my internship wage in the far east, and bought my first ever vlogging camera (Canon Powershot G7x). Undertaking a two week solo trip around the world’s most populated country, I filmed the first series of vlogs on my YouTube Channel, before returning back to the UK for my final university year.

Since graduating in the summer of 2017, I put everything into building my YouTube Channel and travel brand. To date, I’ve amassed over 55 million views and 600,000 subscribers. I’ve been on trips all over the world - from the Indian subcontinent to Latin America and Far East Asia. It’s been quite a ride, with many of you following along with me.
